Some people don't mind mixing acids.

Thankfully, my pal Jared is one of them. Sacrificing sleep for progress, he's whipped up a circuit board etching lab in his living quarters. First outings - two TL084 Multi-Purpose boards.

With these shiny babies, I'm going to work on giving my 'Music From Outer Space - Control Voltage Distributor II' a proper damn assembly. Images of his circuit boards (and my messy proto-boarded 'distributor) are in my Eurorack flickr set.

Since I've added even more modules to my 'rack, I've updated the Euro Rack section.

Up next on the 'bench - some Thomas White 292c LPG clones with Fonik expansions.

Addendum: I've also added pictures of the schematic scribbles and some interior shots of my Animal Dead Keyboard to a set in my Flickr account.

For the few of you who email me with questions about the 'bend, hopefully these help.

I jumped on the SoundCloud bandwagon wtih my own channel.

Since I'm the king of 'broken promises', let's just say that I tentatively would like to use the channel to pop up snippes of recorded noise and maybe 'jam sessions' from the basement.

Don't quote me on that. I'm bound to let you down.

Since my purchase of a 'Geiger Counter' last fall, I've started a Eurorack habit. I've now built a much larger rack and started populating it. Namely with Harvestman 'Tyme Sefari' (with 'A Sound of Thunder' addon) and flight of harmony 'Sound of Shadows' modules.

I've also added a new section to the site devoted to the 'rack, which features an inventory of the *really fun* modules and (eventually) video demonstrations of them.

I also completed making a SammichSID. Painless and great sounding - can't encourage the 'kit by Wilba enough.

I've 'officially' started the SignalFlowOnline channel on YouTube. The first 'serious' video is a brief overview of the WMD Devices 'Geiger Counter' unit, of the Eurorack flavor.

In it, I demonstrate the strength of the Wavetable Waveshaping aspect of the unit and complain about Geocities. I'm planning on doing videos for the Sample Rate and Bit Depth functionality of the unit in the near future.

I just snagged a Roland CP-40 and put a demo video of it being used as a modulation source on YouTube.

I've re-launched my on-line journal with an in-depth guide on my Speak and Spell.

[10/25/08]

"E.T. Phone Home..." a MIDI capable Speak and Spell (made so with a MidiSpeak kit from Highly Liquid) got stranded and wound up in the Circuit Bends section.

Much to the chagrin of PETA, experiments with the Animal Band Keyboard continued even after the untimely death of the original subject. The Cybernetic Son of The Animal Band Keyboard has emerged from the barn and found it's way into the Circuit Bends section.
